Love Church Christmas

Last night we made the trip down to Ft. Wayne for our annual Christmas @ Love Church. Every year we get the privilege to bless the inner city through the work that Love Church is doing. Our kids performed "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" and did a marvelous job! There was snack foods and cookies, and 'goodie' bags for the Love Church kids to take home.

A demonstration of how much this means to them, was in the story of one of the men from Love Church. Back in March he was literally run-over by a drunk driver who was attempting to leave the scene of an accident. He was pinned under the car and dragged 150 feet, horribly burning his stomach and tearing off much of the skin from his heals, back of his legs, his back and even the back of his head. He was in a coma for a couple weeks and spent months in the hospital. In fact he just got out very recently, and so far has only left the house for 2 things, Fran's viewing and when EWC came for Christmas (last night!)

What a wonderful testimony and reminder that even the little things that we do for others can have a tremendous impact on their lives! Thanks to everyone who went along and helped out!

Happy Thanksgiving

This past Sunday we had only one service and it was great to see how we have grown as a church! We have 2 services on a Sunday to make it possible for us to continue to grow, but it is refreshing to get everyone together for a worship celebration.

Thanks to everyone who helped with the carry-in dinner! It was awesome! Be sure to thank Tami Smith and the rest of the social committee for their hard work.
